Tim Smith

Tim Smith obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. He majored in Archaeology and Art History, and minored in History and Internet Technologies. At UE he obtained a background in classical archaeology by studying the Near East, Greeks, and Romans. During undergrad he attended three field schools, two terrestrial excavations in Jezreel Israel, and on underwater excavation in Bermuda. After the Bermuda excavation he knew that he wanted to become an underwater archaeologist. His thesis is on the site formation processes of the American built French owned Fraternité, a wooden ship with extensive steel strapping, that wrecked near Bermuda in 1919.
