7-8 June, 2014: NAS Artifact Illustration and Photography Workshops

RECORDING THE WATERLILY SHIPWRECK (CKS0009) TIMBERS

On 7 and 8 June, 2014, 10 members of the public were involved in two separate workshops at the UNC-Coastal Studies Institute as a part of the NAS training initiative

The day-long workshops taught the principles and practice of professional archaeological photography and illustration.  The subjects for practical sessions were the timbers recently discovered in Currituck County (site CKS0009, known as “the Waterlily Wreck”).  Participants were from North Carolina, Virginia, Idaho, and the Washington, DC area.
