This article, found on The Guardian, reflects the interviews of 8 women who have tattoos. Their ages at the time of interview range from 25-88 with varying types of professions (some are therapist, journalist, and nutritionist). I find this article interesting because of the “why’s” behind the tattoo; some of the women wanted to document different rights of passages in her life, another wanted to declare her tattoo as an “act of moving forward.” I highly encourage you all to read, at least some, this article. It illuminates the complex reasons why women are choosing to become tattooed.
