ARMC Datasets

The following datasets provide fabricated information for the fictional hospital Alliance Regional Medical Center (armc). All identifying information (e.g., id’s, names, dates, addresses, occupations, etc.) were randomly created. Disease and medication assignments follow distributions and patterns identified in multiple healthcare datasets to which the authors have access. Errors and outliers have been introduced to simulate those found in real healthcare environments (e.g., missing and unreasonable values).

The data comes in ten varieties and is compatible with many database management systems (DBMS). In line with the DBMS recommendations from Hylock and Harris (2016), PostgreSQL and MySQL are specifically supported with schema backup files and data exports respectively. For all other DBMS’s the creation and insertion commands are also available. Note: modification might be required depending on the DBMS. Specifics regarding the schema and sizes can be found in “Appendix.pdf” below.
