Book of the Month!

Did your child receive “Read to Tiger” by S.J. Fore in the mail this month?

In this delightful story, an energetic and creative tiger behind the couch wants to play, but a little boy is quietly reading his book. Will the two end up reading, playing, or both?

Starting Up: Let your child choose a comfy place to sit, turn the pages, read parts over again, or hold the book.

While Reading: Try using different voices for the tiger’s part and the boy’s part when you read aloud. Have fun making the sound effects with your child!

After Reading: Ask your child who, what, when, where, why and how questions about the story. Some examples are: Who is bothering the boy? What finally made the tiger stop bothering the boy?

Look for more suggestions like this in the flap at the back of your child’s book!
