Personal possessions have a deep value to sailors aboard ships. In an environment where there is little space, sailors are limited to carrying only small items of value. Maritime archaeologists are fascinated by the types of objects that are found aboard ships. These personal possessions yield a great deal of information about everyday life, spirituality, health, and much more. The Queen Anne’s Revenge Project has made significant advances conserving personal possessions found aboard this shipwreck. This paper will be to highlight and discuss the Personal Possessions collection of the Queen Anne’s Revenge Project. It will discuss the context, condition, and potential value of these artifacts.
