My students and I will be celebrating National Poetry Month via a poetry tournament. I am using the idea from NCTE where they suggest to hold the competition during March Madness. Students are in the process of selecting and submitting a school-appropriate poem/song of their choice. Upon completion, I will share the brackets with students. The plan is to “battle” four poems/day.
