ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY: President Carter Pardons Draft Dodgers
On January 21, 1977, U.S. President Jimmy Carter grants an unconditional pardon to hundreds of thousands of men who evaded the draft during the Vietnam War. In total, some 100,000 young Americans went abroad in the late 1960s and early ’70s to avoid serving in the war. Ninety percent went to Canada, where after some initial controversy they were eventually welcomed as immigrants. Still others hid inside the United States.

The last day to add or drop a class is Friday, Jan. 16, at 5:00 pm. If you need help, reach out to your adviser (that’s what they’re there for!).

As we get this semester started, please remember that the “Add/Drop” period officially ENDS this Friday, Jan. 16, at 5:00 pm. This is the last day you can change your schedule. So if there’s a class you are either thinking about adding, dropping, or substituting, you must do it by Friday at 5:00pm.
ALSO: IF YOU ARE GRADUATING IN DECEMBER OR MAY, or, think you might be able to, please take a moment and take a close look at your DegreeWorks record to make sure you have all the classes you need.

Students: We hope you had a great break – classes start Mon., Jan. 12. We suggest you take a moment and check both Degree Works and your schedule to see that you are all set? If not, no worries: You have until Fri., Jan. 16, at 5:00 pm, to make changes to your schedule.
