On the morning of August 4th 2020, tornadoes from Hurricane Isaias ravaged through Bertie County, NC, home-place of Dr. Loni Crumb, Program Director of Project Don’t Wait. The storm resulted in multiple fatalities, injuries, and extensive property damage across the county. Dr. Crumb and Project Don’t Wait partners from the POWER of U were on the scene in the early morning hours volunteering to assist multiple rural families affected by the storm.
