We had a very informative workforce development training today hosted by our partners from Power of U. The title of the presentation was: Cautions Connections: Substance Use, Natural Disasters, and Youth Mental Health! Thank you to all of the great staff in Beaufort County Schools for attending!

The Project Don’t Wait Team partnered with Peletah Academic Center for Excellence (P.A.C.E) Ministry staff and families to conduct the Workforce Development Training: Responding to Youth who are Differently Abled: Exceptional Children and Disaster Mental Health Response. The informative training focused on children with disabilities and disaster risk reduction.
The Project Don’t Wait Team enjoyed partnering with Trillium Health Resources and the Bertie County Community Collaborative to conduct the Workforce Development Training, Disaster Survivor 101: Help for the Helper, as well as partnering with the Bertie County YMCA to distribute Personal Emergency Kits to help rural residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Isaias.
