Water quality of well water in urban systems: Connections to human and environmental health. Impacts of hydrology on plant-soil-microbe interactions.
This CURE investigates the interactions between groundwater and surface water that impact the quality and sustainability of water resources. Several sites may be studied in this CURE, including research performed at Town Creek near ECU. Check out the video below to learn more!

Today for part of the groundwater engineering lab, we discussed team science. It was a very well response from the students. We played a math game as a part of an icebreaker. Students were categorized into two different teams. They were asked to solve a math problem, find the sheet number corresponding to their answer, and stand in queue with orders 1 to 9, prewritten on the sheet. I tried creating an answer as my mobile number but was mistaken in one of the problems.
But our primary goal of team building was achieved. It was a lot of fun and learning for all of us.
