Vahdati Lab research projects are highly interdisciplinary and utilizes multi-scale and multi-physics computational modeling techniques combined with machine learning, imaging and experimental characterization of biological tissues and advanced materials. Dr. Vahdati’s past research experience include design and predictive modeling of personalized surgical techniques and implants at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, and University of Leuven, Belgium.
At ECU, Vahdati Lab is equipped with powerful workstation computers, cutting-edge computer modeling software plus mechanical testing and imaging instruments.
This combination of computational and experimental research capabilities enables our lab to investigate the mechanical behavior and properties of both advanced engineering materials and biological tissues at multiple spatial and temporal scales.
