This election has got me thinking about issues that I’m concerned with but haven’t heard any of the politicians address. I vote that every college freshman be required to complete an introductory course in Environmental Health Science. These courses cover food safety, air Quality, e-waste, safe water, sustainability, and vector-borne diseases, just to name a few. What do you think?

As you know, I’m a retired school teacher and believe students should be “well-rounded” upon graduation. I can’t think of any other course that should be required like Environmental Health Science. All students need to be aware of the importance of things like hand washing, disease transmission through food, water and air, regardless of their field of study. During the school year students deal with environmental health issues everyday! So I’m with you Josh… a vote for environmental health is a vote for America!!! Bye!!!
