Welcome to “What’s NEW in Environmental Health?”, the ECU Environmental Health Sciences (EHS) Program blog.

Environmental health (EH) has always been a part of our lives, and not everyone is even aware of it!  Environmental health touches everything in our environment that can affect our health… the air we breathe, the water we drink, use and swim in, the food we eat, the objects we touch, the waste we produce, the disease-carrying insects and other vectors that can infect us.

This blog was created in May 2016, with the aim of educating the readers about environmental health.  You will be hearing something new each week about environmental health in the news, advice and tips on relevant environmental health topics, EH student news, upcoming events related to the EHS program, EH faculty activities, and more!  Share with friends, families and colleagues, and let everyone know how the field of environmental health affects us each and every day of our lives.  Enjoy our blog! 🙂
