BS Environmental Health Student Receives an ECU Undergraduate Research Award 2017

BS Environmental Health student, Alexis Parale, was selected to be awarded the Spring 2017 ECU Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (URCA) award for her research proposal on the relationship between sublethal permethrin exposure and vector competence of Aedes albopictus mosquitoes for Zika virus.  Dr. Stephanie Richards serves as her faculty mentor.  Her project will be funded at $1,400, including a stipend of $1000 and $400 in supplies.  Congratulations, Alexis!
