Dr. Humphrey and MS Environmental Health Students Present at WRRI 2017

Dr. Charles Humphrey, along with several students attended the Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI) Annual Conference in Raleigh, NC from March 15-16, 2017.  Dr. Humphrey delivered an oral presentation entitled “Implementation and Monitoring of Stormwater Control Measures in the Lower White Oak River Watershed, North Carolina”, and a poster presentation entitled “Biochemistry of Floodwaters from the Tar River Associated with Hurricane Matthew.”  Several MS Environmental Health students also presented posters as follows:

  •   Christa Sanderford – “Fecal Indicator Bacteria Concentrations in Piedmont Streams Draining Watersheds with Varying Densities of Onsite Wastewater Systems”
  • Nicole Lyons – “Evaluation of Trends in Enterococci and E. coli Concentrations in the Lower White Oak River Watershed in Coastal North Carolina”
  • Jamil Blackmon – “Evaluation of the Environmental Health Risks Associated with Benzene Contamination of Water and Air near Town Creek, Greenville, NC”

Christa Sanderford (MSEH student) won honorable mention for her poster.
