Dr. Charles Humphrey recently received, as a principal investigator (PI), a contract ($9,833) sponsored by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to evaluate pharmaceutical and personal care product concentrations in wastewater treatment plant effluent and groundwater beneath large septic systems.  Additionally, Dr. Humphrey was a co-investigator on a grant ($110,209) sponsored by the NC Department of Justice (DOJ) to evaluate the effectiveness of storm water control measures on Town Creek.
