Dr. Richards Presents at the MAMCA Conference 2019

Dr. Stephanie Richards gave a presentation titled “CDC Insecticide Resistance Testing in North Carolina” during the 44th Annual Conference of the Mid-Atlantic Mosquito Control Association (MAMCA) held from March 26-28, 2019 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. As the MAMCA president, Dr. Richards ran the MAMCA Board (including representatives from 9 different member states) meeting on the first day, gave an introduction to the attendees at the conference and ensured that the conference run smoothly for the entire 3 days.

During the conference, Dr. Richards was recognized for being MAMCA president and was awarded a plaque by Tom Smith, who used to work for Penn State Extension West Nile Virus Program. Dr. Richards also passed on her MAMCA presidency to Tim Dubois (incoming MAMCA president), who works for the City of Portsmouth Public Works Department in Virginia.
