Dr. Jo Anne Balanay presented today her research titled, “Comparison between OSHA-NIOSH Heat Safety Tool App and WBGT Monitor to Assess Heat Stress Risk in Agriculture” during the 29th Annual Joint Safety and Environmental Professional Development Symposium (PDS). She gave her presentation, along with other presenters from government agencies, industry, and academia.

The PDS is a virtual event held from April 19-23, 2021 and an online professional development opportunity, with over 90 sessions of continuing education topics this year, for Department of Defense uniformed and civilian professionals to share innovative ideas, new trends, and new information in areas of safety and occupational health and environmental protection. It is open to Federal personnel, Federal contractors, and students pursuing coursework in related fields.
