Lieutenant (LT) Adam Mannarino (MSEH/MPH 2015) served today as a guest speaker in the “MPH 6010: Fundamentals of Environmental Health” course to discuss his environmental public health experiences and insights in the US Public Health Service (USPHS) since graduating from ECU.
Over the past 8 years, LT Mannarino has gained a wealth of experience, providing direct, comprehensive environmental health and occupational health and safety technical assistance to American Indians and Alaska Natives throughout the southwestern United States and in native villages in Alaska. In his current assignment, he oversees and manages a comprehensive nationwide construction safety program for the National Park Service historic preservation activities.
LT Mannarino holds a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University, a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology concentration), and a Master of Science in Environmental Health (MSEH), both from East Carolina University. LT Mannarino is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) credentialed by the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) and a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) through the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH).
