BS Environmental Health student, Will Shingleton, was featured in an article by Sound Rivers as a water-quality intern. Will gave a presentation titled, “Cool Animals on Our Rivers and How to Protect Them!”, which covered endangered species that are found only in the Tar River basin. He presented to rising 1st- to 5th-grade participants of “Elementary Adventures”, an interactive program by Farmville Library.
Sound Rivers is a non-profit organization that guards the health of the Neuse and Tar-Pamlico River basins in North Carolina through monitoring and protection.
