The NC Mosquito and Vector Control Association (NCMVCA) held its 55th annual educational conference in virtual format from November 9-10, 2021. Dr. Stephanie Richards (treasurer) and Ms. Avian White (Secretary) both serve as NCMVCA officers. They hosted 80 participants from Environmental/Public Health programs, universities, private pest control companies, and others across NC (21 counties represented) and other states. Participants earned continuing education units (CEUs) from NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (public health pesticide applicator license) and/or NC State Board of Registered Environmental Health Specialist Examiners (REHS). In addition, Dr. Richards presented “Insecticide Resistance Testing in North Carolina”, with Ms. White as co-author on the presentation.
