Guest Blog Contributor: Dean Ricken* (BSEH ’16)

Rene Vanek graduated from our BS Environmental Health program in May 2017. She now resides in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) where she is an EHS and Sustainability Specialist, supporting the biopharmaceutical company KBI Biopharma full-time. Rene’s role involves many different aspects of EHS, including training development across multiple disciplines, waste to energy support and managing the incident tracking program. Rene is passionate about training and is focused on the development and presentation of training materials, ensuring that they are tailored to the biopharma industry. Rene is also extremely active outside of work as she assists her local animal shelter in Wake County, NC and is currently learning Spanish. Bien hecho!
