Three doctoral candidates graduated and officially earned today their Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) – Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) degree from the ECU Department of Public Health, Brody School of Medicine. Below are the successful graduates and their dissertation project titles, with their dissertation directors from ECU Environmental Health Sciences Program:

- Dissertation title: Accuracy of Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) Obtained from Regional Weather Station Data for Agricultural Settings in Eastern North Carolina as Proxy for WBGT Obtained from Local Heat Stress Monitors
- Dissertation director: Dr. Jo Anne Balanay
Dr. Heidi Knecht
- Dissertation title: Retrospective Risk Assessment of Forestry Workers in the U.S.: Injuries, Fatalities and Hazards Impacting Occupational Health
- Dissertation director: Dr. Stephanie Richards
Dr. Avian White
- Dissertation title: Evaluation of the Use of Wastewater Based Epidemiology as a Surveillance Tool and the Potential Effects of Vaccines and Student Beliefs and Practices in Mitigating the Spread of COVID-19 among Students at East Carolina University
- Dissertation director: Dr. Charles Humphrey
