Dr. Jo Anne Balanay and Dr. Stephanie Richards presented their posters on their innovative projects during the 2024 i-Corps @ ECU Conference held today at the ECU Dowdy Ficklen Stadium. The posters were available for viewing by conference guest from within and outside of ECU. The following are some details of their posters:

• “Temper: A WBGT-Based Heat Stress App” – Dr. Jo Anne Balanay and Dr. Sinan Sousan
• “Compact Wind Tunnel for Testing Efficacy of Insecticide Formulated Products in Mosquitoes” – Dr. Stephanie Richards and Dr. Sinan Sousan

The i-Corps @ ECU Conference was organized by the ECU Office of Licensing and Commercialization. The agenda for the conference featured numerous subject matter experts, with relevant topics that included early-stage funding through NC Biotech, Department of Defense and NC Innovation, Accelerators and Incubators Across the State, SBIR/STTR funding, preparing to be investor ready, intellectual property, and prototyping.
