Environmental Health Students Featured in Biting Times Newsletter

ECU Environmental Health students are featured for their research projects in the “Biting Times Newsletter Fall 2024” of the NC Mosquito and Vector Control Association (NCMVCA). The titles of their research projects are as follows:

  • Will Murray (MS Environmental Health student) – Thesis Project: “Wind Tunnel Exposure to Water-and Oil-Based Formulated Products”
  • Emma Rush (BS Environmental Health student) – Honors College Project: “Comparison of Field Trial and Wind Tunnel Exposure to Bio-mist® and Duet®”
  • Raven Slade (MS Environmental Health student) – Thesis Project: “Droplet Characterization of Formulated Products on Mosquitoes Exposed Via Wind Tunnel”
  • Naina Sharma Bastakoti (MS Environmental Health student) – Thesis Project: “Staying Safe: Results From an Occupational Hazards Survey Among Mosquito Control Personnel”

They will be presenting their research at the NCMVCA’s upcoming conference in Atlantic Beach, NC in November 2024.
