Dr. Richards posts a Terminix blog this week on termites.  Specifically, she discussed about termite biology and ecology (which is important to understand in the design of termite control program) and economic damages from termites on residential and other structures.  She also described how pest management professionals install plastic monitoring stations in the ground around residences to detect and monitor termite populations, which is a practice that follows the principles of integrated pest management.
