Megan Rhyne is a Master of Science in Environmental Health (MSEH) student in the ECU Environmental Health Sciences Program. For her thesis, she is currently studying how the insect growth regulator pyriproxyfen can impact life table characteristics (i.e., egg abundance, egg hatch rates, adult emergence rates) of the Aedes albopictus (Asian tiger mosquito). Insect growth regulators mimic insect juvenile hormones and disrupt insect development. Dr. Stephanie Richards is her thesis director.
