Local news station, WCTI NewsChannel 12, featured a news story on Dr. Stephanie Richards’ research on the capability of Aedes albopictus, mosquitoes found locally in our area, in transmitting the Zika virus.  Eastern North Carolina should not panic about the potential for the Zika virus hitting this area but everybody should remain cautious of the dangers mosquitoes can bring.  Check out the news video below:
