Avian White (DrPH EOH student and EH Research Technician) and Rebecca Dean (MPH candidate) both were the recipients of the “Innovation Award” for their research posters at the Inaugural Innovation and Entrepreneurship @ Research and Creative Activities Week (RCAW) held at ECU Main Campus Student Center this week. Dr. Lok Pokhrel served as their research mentor for their respective studies. Their research posters were as follows:

• Avian White and Lok Pokhrel. Functionalized Nanopesticide for Mosquito-borne Arbovirus Disease Control.
• Rebecca Dean and Lok Pokhrel. Toward Next Generation PVC Pipe Material for Water Infrastructure.

There were a total of 29 presentations in the Innovation category. Congratulations!
