Danielle Carter (DrPH EOH student) attended the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s (AIHA) Leadership Workshop on November 15-16, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center Hotel in Tysons, Virginia. This year’s workshop program featured a blend of subject matter expertise, interactive activities, training and networking. Topics included the predictive index (a scientifically validated behavioral and cognitive assessment), emotional intelligence (EI), media training, AIHA State of Affairs, 2020 content priorities, and officers training.

Danielle was invited to attend the workshop in September 2019 as an officer of the AIHA ECU Student Chapter, and was the very first ECU environmental health student to attend the AIHA Leadership Workshop. AIHA covered her expenses to the workshop, including hotel accommodation and transportation.
