ECU Environmental Health faculty recently had a commentary-type article titled, “Revisiting the Importance of Risk Communication for Public Health Practitioners” published “ahead of print” in the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice. The article was lead by Dr. Paul Knechtges, and had Dr. Stephanie Richards and Dr. Greg Kearney as co-authors. In this article, the authors emphasized the importance of science literacy, science communication and risk communication for practitioners responsible in protecting the public health, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
