Dr. Charles Humphrey was a co-presenter at the 2021 Carolinas Climate Resilience Conference, a hybrid event, held this week from May 10-12, 2021 at the Durham Convention Center in Durham, NC. His presentation was titled, “Wastewater Infrastructure Tipping Points: Climate Adaptation for Onsite (Septic) Systems”.
Given that the impacts of extreme weather events and evidence of climate change are continuing to grow, so do the understanding of the challenges in adapting to these changes. The Carolinas Climate Resilience Conference, now in its fourth convening, seeks to provide a place to share experiences and knowledge about opportunities, resources, and local initiatives across a range of professions and regional experts, and to foster real-world solutions to climate adaptation in the Carolinas.
