BS Environmental Health student, Trysten Culler, is the recipient of the 2022 North Carolina Public Health Association (NCPHA) Environmental Health Section Scholarship. The award is a $300-scholarship given to an ECU student with a GPA of 3.0 or above and is approved by the Executive Committee. Trysten has an overall GPA of 3.75. He is a member of the ECU Chapter of the National EH Honor Society, an ECU Access Scholar, a Golden Leaf Scholar, and an ECU Alumni Association Scholar. He is involved in many campus activities including being a member of the ECU Marching Pirates, ECU Writes, ECU Leads, a Pirate Navigator for the Office of Admissions and has served as an Orientation Assistant for the Division of Student Affairs. Outside of school, he is a plant caretaker and merchandiser with Plant Partners.

Trysten was also an Environmental Health Section Scholarship recipient in 2021.
