Ms. White Defends DrPH-EOH Dissertation on COVID-19 Surveillance and Mitigation

Ms. Avian White, EH instructor and a Doctor of Public Health – Environmental and Occupational Health (DrPH-EOH) candidate, successfully defended today her dissertation titled, “Evaluation of the Use of Wastewater Based Epidemiology as a Surveillance Tool and the Potential Effects of Vaccines and Students Beliefs and Practices in Mitigating the Spread of COVID-19 Among Students at East Carolina University”. Dr. Charles Humphrey (ECU Environmental Health [EH] Professor) serves as her dissertation committee chair. Her other committee members are Dr. Guy Iverson (ECU EH Program), Dr. Lanika Wright (ECU Student Health Services Director) and Dr. John Fallon (ECU Department of Pathology). Congratulations, Ms. White!
