MS Environmental Health/ MPH dual degree student, Will Murray, won third place in the student competition at the annual NC Mosquito and Vector Control Association (NCMVCA) conference held in Carolina Beach, NC from Nov. 15-17, 2023. His presentation was titled “Compact wind tunnel for testing efficacy of formulated products against mosquitoes”, with co-authors including Dr. Stephanie Richards, Dr. Sinan Sousan, Dr. Avian White, Kaya Peyton and Raven Slade. Will received his award certificate and will also receive a $50 monetary award for 3^rd place. There were 7 students that entered the competition from a variety of different universities, including NC State University, UNC Greensboro, UNC Chapel Hill, Western Carolina University and East Carolina University.
