MS Environmental Health Student Attends the 2024 NEHA Annual Educational Conference

Will Murray, MS Environmental Health (MSEH)/Master of Public Health (MPH) dual degree student, attended and gave a poster and oral presentation of his research project this week from July 15-18, 2024 at the NEHA Annual Educational Conference (AEC) at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Will presented his research project on the development of a novel compact wind tunnel for testing efficacy of insecticide formulated products in mosquitoes. His project is under the mentorship of Dr. Stephanie Richards (EH Professor) and Dr. Sinan Sousan (Dept. of Public Health Assistant Professor).

Will was also awarded as the first place graduate student winner of the 2024 Association of Environmental Health Academic Programs (AEHAP) Student Research Competition. He received a $750 cash award and a $1,750 travel allowance to attend the NEHA AEC. Great job for representing our EH Program very well! Congratulations, Will!
