After reading this article on the outcome of the Ohio case, it is sad to think that this probably goes on in other small towns across the US. The author talks about the arrogance of the athletes. This seems to be common from small town athletics right up to professional athletes. Many seem to develop a God complex and feel that they can do anything to anyone. It also shows that respect for women is not being taught to many young men. That starts at home. I don’t really believe that these individuals are sorry. I think they are sorry they got caught. Someone who feels this is wrong would not likely do it in the first place. I am also shocked at the bystanders who did nothing to help this girl.
