While checking my own personal blog this morning I stumbled across a post about imposter syndrome.
“Many successful women suffer from impostor syndrome. Impostor syndrome is the feeling that you’re a fraud—that you’re somehow less qualified than your peers, less deserving of success, and that you’ll be ‘found out’ if you don’t work longer and harder than everyone else.”
— Joyce Roche, Avon’s first African-American female vice president

I know that I have felt this way more times than I can count. What about all of you? Have you struggled with the idea that you deserve your success?
Joyce Roche talks about her experiences and gives women 10 ways to overcome imposter syndrome. My favorite is #6: See others objectively. Roche believes that if we see and accept the flaws of those that work around us we will be able to accept our own flaws and be more patient and understanding with ourselves. Cushundra Williams
