As of today Niger has the highest rate of child marriage in the world. In Niger there is actually a law that permits girls to get married at the age of 15. A drive to child marriage is poverty,many parents marry there kids to provide an economic stability between the husband the wife’s family. To them finding a husband that will take care of their daughter will also have a high possibility of them getting taken care of as well or end up getting some land that the husband might own. Its so sad to see that the actual government supports these types of things and even put a young age to allow the girls to get married.
