Uber Finds Gender Pay Gap In The Absence Of Discrimination

I found this article by Forbes to be Interesting. It essentially tells us that even in the absence of discrimination ( the code that Uber uses to assign riders to drivers  does not factor in gender of the driver or rider) there is a pay gap in this area. The company found that a large part of it was about retention rate, in how 63% of men left the company after 6 months and 76% of women which affects the learning curve of women in the platform.

Are there other factors that were missed by this article that you think may attribute to the gender wage gap at Uber?
