Can women freely report sexual assault violence?

Uber is a very useful app and the service it provides is undeniably beneficial. The company has grown over the years and a majority of my peers have used the app one time or another. Recently the company has made headlines for numerous claims of sexual assault committed by drivers. The rising claims may taint the company and to protect its name women are not being allowed to come together and file lawsuits against Uber. Women who have survived sexual assault should not be told how to take action against a crime committed against them. People who have endured sexual assault often need a support system and the gathering of these women could help each one of them come forward with their stories. Women are kept from gathering only to protect the companies name but the safety and well-being of the customer remain undermined in the process.
