This topic is a little older, but I still feel like it is an important topic due to the pain that he caused some Nickelodeon stars. During his time at Nickelodeon, he sexualized minors in shows that he produced. He produced Icarly, Drake & Josh, and The Amanda Show. During Icarly, he would make the actors/actresses do skits showing their feet and many other discrete things that younger kids wouldn’t notice.
In 2018, Schneider announced his exit from working with Nickelodeon. Icarly star Jennette McCurdy no longer acts because she stated that her career was embarrassing because of things Schneider made her do. She also announced that she wouldn’t be in the Icarly revival.
It’s so sad to me what these stars had to go through, and the pain that it is probably still causing them. It’s also sad thinking about how they were minors at the time. I’m glad that Dan Schneider quite Nickelodeon, but it makes me wonder where he moved to instead. He denied acting inappropriately on set with the shows he produced, which is also concerning.

Yeah I agree. I remember hearing about all the stories that came out about him and what he did. I agree, it is truly traumatic for the victims to go through that and to even talk about what happened to them.
I’ve heard about this going on behind the scenes as well. I watched a video montage that came out with a video of all the weird and unusual things he made them do on set. Some of the craziest stories come from hollywood, castings, or movies it’s so crazy! Especially someone so well-known such as him, it’s like you never truly know who’s doing it!
I’ve been following this story for years now and I think it’s been grossly overlooked which is why I’m thinking about writing my paper on this issue because it’s such an odd series of social media posts and nickelodeon episode releases.
Yes, I have heard countless accusations about Dan Schneider and how he would have the actors do unusual things on camera. I watched this video early this year about how creeping this man actually is. But honestly, though I hope that in the future there is going to be more investigations about Dan Schneider and how he acted towards the actors, it just seems like Hollywood is once again allowing a predator to roam free without any reprecussions.
