There have many victims that have come forward to say that they’ve been sexually abused by a pastor or even a member from their church. It is common for a lot of people to think that a church would be the last place for someone to be sexually assaulted at, or even a safe space for people to go. In reality, not all people in the churches are good. I have read that it is mostly common amongst Catholic churches. They are known to keeping the abuses quiet amongst others to protect their image. Almost 1,700 priests were clergy accused of sexual abuse. There some that can not be located or they will even take their own life. This is scary for parents, especially if they are wanting to start taking their children to church. How will they know if they can trust the people there?
