Please take a tour of the blog and see the wide variety of student entries from last year, which included three courses (syllabi posted). My students were in a history course on Women & Gender in the Middle East. This semester my students will be exploring Middle Eastern women’s voices in literature, including various genres, across historical boundaries, and from different regions. I will be co-teaching with Prof. Taylor, and our students will be posting some of their reaction pieces, as well as reacting (and interacting) with participants from Prof. Mathews class. Feel free to contribute at any time with articles of interests, thoughts, youtube clips, etc. that you feel will be beneficial to the group–in addition to general course requirements. Looking forward to a great semester. I am a historian of the Middle East, specializing in Women and Gender, and you will find that I contribute quite a few news and thought pieces on this subject.
