Is Title IX doing more harm than good?
I know the subject of college sexual assault has been talked about a LOT recently but I came across this article today and figured I’d post it anyway. The pendulum keeps swinging back and forth as to where the blame lies with how an assault that occurs on campus is handled. The victim? The Accused? Colleges and Universities? The Police? As an employee of ECU I had to complete the online Title IX training and while I do think I gained knowledge about how to respond “after the fact”, I’m honestly starting to wonder if Title IX is more trouble than its worth. After reading the article, what do you all think? Why is this problem so hard to solve??
