The above link contains video of a Afghan woman being stoned to death over accusations of adultery; reportedly she had been married against her will and tried to run away with another man. A crowd circles around her throwing rocks as she stands in a pit, the man only received lashing to his back. This is not a unique occurrence either as another murder was reported earlier this year. It seems that the blame is trying to be set on the Taliban but the lack of governmental support shows that there may be more to it all. Regardless, this stands as an ugly reminder of the cruel troubles women face globally.
