My favorite women’s rights activist, Sophia Bush, talks a lot about women’s health care. Trumps administration issued a new health care rule that made it easier for companies to be exempt from covering birth control. The companies are refusing coverage due to religious or moral objection. This enrages me because birth control is essential health care that is used by women across the United States. It is unfair that Viagra is covered by medical insurance, including federal funding, while women’s contraceptives are not. I believe that the reason for this inequality lies on the fact that 71% of our elected officials are men.
