I found the article titled “The Reasons Why White Women Vote Republican—And What to Do About It” to be a very interesting analysis on voting behavior in the United States. I think this article brings into focus an interesting perspective on the effect that religion and marriage can have on the voting behavior of white women. This article suggests that white women may be influenced to vote conservatively because they face pressure from their husbands. I had never thought of that before, so it is interesting. I personally would like to see more data on this and see where the author got this information. As a white woman who grew up in a conservative, religious home, and who now holds liberal views, I would like to hear other people’s views on this article and what it has to offer. Thoughts?
