In lieu of women gaining public acknowledgement for pressing the issue of sexually abusive behavior, a fraternity at the Ivy League school, Cornell University, are proving the point. The fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau, is in trouble for creating a fat-shaming game in which its new members can obtain points by having sex with overweight women. If there was a tie, the member that had sex with the heaviest woman was the winner. The games name: “Pig Roast”
The fraternity was just placed on a two year suspension, but pushes its claim that they were completely unaware of the activity and do not condone the behavior. This dehumanizing behavior is a contributor to the ongoing sexual violence that has a strong presence on college campuses and across the world.
